Following the implementation of the new freight train schedule nationwide, on the morning of April 18, the first rapid multimodal transport train X8743 with a speed of 120 km/h departed from Fengtaixi Railway Station in Beijing, heading to Dalang Railway Station in Guangzhou after a journey of 33 hours.

This rapid multimodal transport train mainly transports furniture, food, auto parts, and other goods. Following the principle of nearby cargo collection, loading was organized at stations such as Dahongmen Freight Yard in Beijing and Guangyang Freight Yard in Langfang. Unlike regular freight trains with speeds not exceeding 100 km/h, this train operates at a faster speed of 120 km/h, reducing the transportation time from the original 5-7 days to 33 hours. This significant improvement in transportation efficiency greatly reduces logistics costs and positively contributes to effective cost reduction in logistics.
