According to data from China Railway International Group Co., Ltd., since its official opening on October 17, 2023, the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway has been operating safely for six months. A total of 7,050 sets of EMU trains have been operated, covering a safe operation distance of over 1.26 million kilometers.
China Railway International Group Co., Ltd. explained that to effectively serve the convenience of residents' travel, the Sino-Indonesian Operation and Maintenance Consortium has been continuously optimizing the train operation plan. The number of EMU trains operated daily has increased from the initial 14 sets to 52 sets during peak periods. The number of passenger seats has increased from over 8,400 to over 31,000, with a maximum daily passenger throughput of 21,537. The highest passenger occupancy rate reached 99.6%.
To ensure the safe and orderly operation of the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway, the Sino-Indonesian Operation and Maintenance Consortium fully draws on China's advanced and mature experience in high speed rail operation and management. They have implemented high standards and high-quality work in train scheduling and command, passenger service organization, equipment inspection and maintenance, and safety risk prevention and control. Apart from effectively responding to extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain and typhoons, they have also strengthened safety management during the rainy season to ensure the smooth operation of the high speed rail and the safety of passenger travel.
